MOST VENTURING
FAILURES ARE
CAPABILITY FAILURES

Boards approve funds before anyone on the team has taken a deal through an investment committee. Ventures get built without gates. Board seats get taken without training. Innovation teams run pipelines that produce decks instead of companies.

Every course in this catalog addresses one of those failures, and every one is taught by operators who take the same decisions on live TURN8 mandates, using the same methods and templates.

402CVC · 1 Day

THE CVC AT YEAR THREE: RENEWAL, RESTRUCTURING, OR WIND-DOWN

Prepares both sides of the mandate-review table: the fund proving its value and the parent judging it honestly. Restructuring options, the evidence pack, and the honest wind-down.

Who attends: executive sponsors, CFOs, and fund heads approaching a review.

101Executive · 1 Day

CORPORATE VENTURING FOR THE C-SUITE

The day to take before you approve a mandate, or when you have inherited one you cannot yet evaluate. Engine selection, capital discipline, and the first twelve months.

Who attends: senior executives who will approve, fund, or answer for a venturing program.

102Venture Building · 2 Days

THE INNOVATION PORTFOLIO OPERATING SYSTEM

Converts an innovation team from activity management to venture-grade operation: theses, sourcing design, calibrated scoring, and gates that produce decisions.

WHY TURN8

TURN8 is the venture operating partner for GCC corporates and sovereign-linked institutions.

OPERATORS, NOT LECTURERS

Faculty have taken live gate and investment decisions on TURN8 mandates, under our own Bold + Bounded governance: staged capital, evidence gates, go/hold/stop decisions.

TAUGHT IN THE REGION

Riyadh, Dubai, or your offices, with GCC entity, governance, and market-entry specifics. No travel, no time zones, no imported case studies.

YOUR MATERIAL, NOT A TEXTBOOK

Working-session courses run on your own mandate, pipeline, or venture. Teams leave with a checklist and a dated plan, not a workbook.

TRACK RECORD

TURN8 and its founding team have built 120+ ventures and deployed $500M+ since 2013. Engagement references available under NDA.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What training leads and program sponsors ask before commissioning a cohort.

Can we send one or two people, or does the whole team attend?+

Courses are commissioned by the organization, not bought by the seat. Each one runs as a private cohort of up to minimum 10 and max 20 people from your organization, delivered in Riyadh, Dubai or at your offices. There is no public enrollment and no mixed classroom, because the working sessions use your own material and that only works in a closed room.

Where should we start?+

Start from where your organization actually stands, not from where the catalog starts. The twelve courses follow the four phases of the TURN8 method: discovery and thesis, validation and design, build and launch, scale and optimize. If leadership is still deciding whether and how to venture, the entry point is Corporate Venturing for the C-Suite. If a mandate is already approved, the starting point sits further in.

Can the course be tailored to our context?+

Yes. The cohort works on your context throughout, and in the working-session courses on your own live material, whether that is a mandate, a thesis, a fund or a deal. Customization beyond that is agreed in the proposal.

Who teaches it?+

Operators who have taken the same decisions on live TURN8 mandates, under Bold + Bounded governance: staged capital, evidence gates, go/hold/stop. For some courses, TURN8 invites one or more guest experts per cohort, drawn from active funds and specialist counsel. The named instructor for your cohort is confirmed in the proposal.

What does the fee cover, and what does it not?+

The program fee plus the per-attendee component covers course materials and preparation. It excludes VAT where applicable, and it excludes the venue, meals and refreshments, which are arranged and paid for by the client. Corporates may commission by purchase order and invoice.

How quickly can a cohort run?+

Cohorts are scheduled on 15 days’ advance notice. The participant list and any pre-course intake material are confirmed one week before delivery.

What do participants leave with?+

A certificate of completion, membership of the TURN8 Academy alumni community, and the templates used in the session. Every participant is also invited to a complimentary institutional readiness assessment: the structured, scored review that opens every TURN8 engagement, offered to Academy alumni without charge or obligation.
